Editorial Policy

ChronoCalc publishes free age-calculation tools and educational guides. We do not invent clinician identities, testimonials, star ratings, or usage statistics. Method claims are dated and described at a high level so they can be checked against the manuals you already own.
1. Who writes
Guides are published by the ChronoCalc editorial team as an independent educational project. We do not byline invented physicians, SLPs, or psychologists. If a credentialed clinician later co-authors a page, that person will be named on the page and on About with the same identity — we will not use anonymous first-person “clinic voice” as a substitute for a real byline.
2. What we will not publish
- Fabricated testimonials or review scores
- Unverifiable user counts (“thousands of clinicians,” “most trusted,” “#1”)
- Named practitioners we cannot identify
- Copyrighted test items, stimulus content, or scoring tables from Pearson, Curriculum Associates, or other publishers
- Review or AggregateRating structured data unless reviews are collected on this site
3. Calculation claims
Feature claims about ChronoCalc are checked against the live calculators before publication. Rounding and format rules are documented on the methodology page and in tool help text. When a publisher releases a new edition, we update clinical mode and the visible verification date.
4. Citations
We name instruments (WISC-V, WAIS-IV, BRIGANCE Early Childhood Screen III, CELF-5) and point to the corresponding administration or examiner manuals. Descriptions stay high-level. If you need the exact day-threshold or leap-year note for a score sheet, open the current manual for that edition.
5. AI assistance
Drafting tools may help with outlines or copy editing. Every published page is reviewed for calculation truthfulness. AI is not used to invent sources, quotes, clinics, or reviews.
6. Corrections
If a format, leap-year edge case, or publisher convention is wrong, email [email protected] or use the contact page. Material fixes get an updated date on the affected page.
